Clan Inactive Player Policy

Because we have so many people who want to join TEC, and so little room, we have had to institute an “inactive” rule.  Actually, it’s always been there, just not formally.  Be aware that you can be kicked out of the clan if you haven’t played for 4 weeks or longer, at our discretion.  We will always try to keep you in the clan as long as possible once you have gone inactive, but we also need to make room for active players who want to join TEC.  If you are an INACTIVE PLAYER who has been removed from TEC, and are ready to start playing again, just reapply, we will accept you, you are always welcome back when you are ready to play (unless we are full in which case you will be accepted back in the moment there is a spot available).

If you notify us, or have already notified us, that you will not be able to play for a while (work, school, jail…), we WILL NOT remove you from the clan unless you have gone “game inactive.” We will ONLY remove those that haven’t communicated otherwise.

“Game Inactive” is when Dark Orbit “star’s” you, which they do if you have not logged into the game for 4 weeks straight (an * next to your name).  Your account is subject to deletion by Dark Orbit at that point. I have no control over that!  Once your account is star’d, you no longer pay taxes (even if you have credits in your account) and actually can have a negative impact on clan ranking. If your account has been star’d, EVEN IF you have notified us, we may remove you from the clan to open up the spot for someone else.

If your dupe account is at risk of inactivity, please consider moving your dupe account to TEC1/2.

Here are the priorities we follow when deciding which inactive members to remove from the clan when there is more than one member at risk of being removed:

• Members that have gone “game inactive” (have a star * next to their name), have not even logged into Dark Orbit in 4 weeks or greater.
• Inactive duplicate accounts of current active members will be removed first, they are of course encouraged to move to our sister clan
• New members that joined, played for a week or two, then never came back will be removed next
• Then in order of seniority, meaning if two or more members at risk of removal, whichever one joined most recently will be removed first.

We will always try to keep an inactive member in the clan as long as possible, but at the same time, we must make room for new active players who wish to join TEC.
