Clan Expectations

If you want to stay in TEC, we have a few expectations:

1) Be Honorable! Do not randomly shoot and kill people who are way less powerful, do not steal their kills, do not KILL VRU. Obviously, this does not apply during times of war with other VRU members – then it is acceptable and encouraged to kill the members of the clan we are at war with.  Nor does this apply in situations of self defense – if another VRU member attacks you, by all means, attack back, even if it means killing them!!  You have the right to defend yourself.  You can shoot at and chase off VRU outlaws/pirates.  Always avoid firing the first shot against another vru.

2) Be Helpful to others – this means that if you are near someone who needs help, dont just watch (unless you think its an honorable duel occurring!)  Be especially helpful to other clan members.  At the same time, don’t expect everyone to help you if you rarely help others.

3) Work together whenever possible! When you are travelling around working on missions, find another TEC or VRU member working on similar quests and work with them.  Travel in groups whenever you can, as there is power in numbers.  Even the weakest of ships can take out a full elite enemy Goli if you have enough of them   It’d be ugly, but it can be done   Besides, it’s just more fun to hang in a group!

4) DO NOT BEG FOR credits or help. If we can help you we will, but ask ONCE, not 50 TIMES !!! Again, DO NOT BEG FOR CREDITS!! NO EXCEPTIONS! We are very generous with the clan credits, we give new members a small start-up fund, we give out big birthday gifts, we offer clan quests that pay out huge, and have large clan bonuses. If you can’t balance your budget, go hunt boxes!  While we do recognize that there are occasional emergencies (such as when Esmerala’s account was hacked) and will do what we can to assist you in EMERGENCY situations, we are not in the habit of rewarding bad behavoir or poor decision making.  If you lost a big bid, get busy and make more credits – losing big bids is a PART OF THE GAME.  If you didn’t pay attention to your credits/uri and got killed and have nothing to buy a new ship with, get a free Phoenix, go to 3-1 and shoot Streuners and collect boxes for an hour, you’ll have enough credits and uri in an hour to get up to at least a Nostromo. BUT DO NOT BEG FOR CREDITS!

5) GET GSC and start using it! Everyone using GSC advances WAY quicker because the communication with each other is smoother and organization is easier! Those in GSC also tend to be taken more seriously when we make clan decisions, because we have gotten to know them better.  We have had clan members get to full elite status in as little as three weeks because we were able to help them far more easily and efficiently thanks to the improved communications of GSC.  We are a large clan, and getting larger every day.  Communications can be difficult, especially with the eratic game chat, so please, load GSC and use it! http://www.getgsc.com

And finally, the last, and MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL:

HAVE FUN.  It’s a game, after all!! HAVE FUN!!!
